Professor of Medicine and Associate Director for clinical research and co-leader of the gastrointestinal cancers program at the USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center. Also the section head of GI oncology in the division of medical oncology and co-director of the colorectal center at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California.
In his daily activities, Lenz oversees activities of several different cancer programs. His research focuses on topics such as regulation of gene expression involved in drug resistance, patients at high risk of developing colorectal cancer and determination of carcinogenesis
Principal investigator on several trials within mCRC and member of several important bodies such as AACR, the American Gastroenterology Association and the National Society of Genetic Counselors. He also serves on several committees for NIH.
