Arfolitixorin is thought to have a broad sphere of use. Chemotherapy combinations based on 5-FU are also used in the treatment of other types of cancer, such as pancreatic, stomach, breast and head and neck cancers. Additional clinical studies will probably be required before arfolitixorin can obtain marketing authorisation for the treatment of these types of cancer.
